Ather Energy has officially provided a sneak peek of its forthcoming electric scooter tailored for families, named the Rizta, which had been previously seen during testing. Ather is anticipated to unveil the scooter in the upcoming months, possibly at its Community Day 2024 event.
As spotted in the test mules, the Ather Rizta will showcase a flat apron, with side panels featuring minimal cuts or creases compared to the existing 450 lineup. Its front panel incorporates a horizontally integrated LED headlight, and the taillight follows the same format. The floorboard area of the upcoming Ather Rizta is expected to offer more space compared to the current 450X model.
Specific technical details about the Ather Rizta are still undisclosed. However, it is likely to share its battery and electric motor with Ather's 450 series. Ather's 450S model is equipped with a 2.9kWh battery, while the 450X comes with options for a 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery. Both models achieve a top speed of 90kmph, but the 450S provides a range of 115km, while the 450X offers ranges of 111km and 150km for the 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh variants, respectively.
The Ather Rizta is also expected to feature the Deep View display from the 450S, and additional features may include ride modes, multiple screen readouts, and smartphone connectivity.
